Welcome

Camp Creek is a record label, recording studio, publishing company (BMI and ASCAP), and event production company based in Portland, OR. We are dedicated to using the music and events we produce to bring about positive change, locally and around the world.

We are currently going through a rebuilding process, working with several high-profile Portland bands and artists on a new type of record label, owned and controlled by the artists themselves. We are excited to share our vision with the world, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out our current artists, and listen to a sampling of our catalog using the player to the right.

Artists

Max Ribner Band

In just over a year, The Max Ribner Band ("MRB") has garnered a solid following through impassioned live shows and their unique music, a complex blend of Funk, Jazz, R&B, Soul, Gospel, Rock and Dance music. MRB was started in Portland, OR in the spring of 2011 by Max Ribner, a Flugel Horn player known for supporting many top local and national acts, including Liv Warfield, Keegan Smith, and Patrick Lamb. Here In Spirit, the band's debut album, touches on aspects of love, death, perseverance, and much more, all while keeping the audience dancing. MRB's live shows are no different, as the band draws on jazz backgrounds to deliver heavily improvised shows which have been called "uplifting," "magical," and "inspiring."

I-chèle

Intoxicating vocals woven around deep drum and bass rhythms; this is the essence of I-chèle. With a sensuous, passionate flair, she creates her own blend of reggae, highly influenced by Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, and Sade (just to name a few). Her positive and up-lifting message shows respect for the power of roots rock reggae and the nyabingi rhythms, and her presence captivates audiences.

Vince Black

A professional musician for over 30 years, Vince Black has toured and recorded with countless reggae, blues, and rock groups from around the world. Included in the long list are Black Uhuru (grammy-nominated), Dub Syndicate, Tosh Meets Marley, Lee Perry, Wailing Souls, Dennis Brown, Prezident Brown, and many, many more.

Vince's second solo release, "Standing Up For Love," shows his talents on numerous instruments and as a songwriter, mixing reggae with various other genres into a unique style all his own.
